Well, QoL is up, I'm happy to report. And we've gone from living 14-16 to a tent to 4-man CHU (Compartmentalized Housing Units - pre-fab trailer livin'). So, not a bad improvement. More importantly, now that we have decent air-conditioning in our shiny new rooms and a better generator, I can not wake up at 10am after a night shift and not be a sweaty and tired mess. Waking up because it's too hot - definitely not fun. On the downside, it seems that the sun gets the roof of our CHU so hot that it occasionally sets off the smoke detector. Not cool.
Current roommates: Sgt Ryan, Spc Thomas, Spc Rankins. Good guys. Supply and commo all-around. Should work out ok. And sure does beat living with 14 smelly guys.
