Yes, that's right, in my best Jed Bartlet voice, I spent several different occassions yesterday quizing the troops on the history of Veterans Day and giving them a short primer on Armistice Day (a far, far better name). Can't say I was all that appreciated. Here's a piece from the NYTimes for all of you...

And Barabara Tuchman's The Guns of August is definitely worth reading (wanna send me my copy, Big Bro?), albeit about the beginnings of The Great War and not its end.
Incidentally, one year ago this Armistice Day I was in the last bit of Basic Training and we were practicing attacking and clearing a trench. Cool, no?

Dude where are you going to keep all these books that you keep ask to send?
Little Bro,
If mom made it to the post office this morning, your book is the on way.
It was raining very heavily this morning, and she was intimidated by it. :)
Actually, I was drenched by it, so it was a little intimidating. Keep the posts coming.
Love,
Big Bro
